Karvonen accounts for fitness level via resting heart rate, so two people with the same age can get different zones.
Formulas here are population estimates. If you're on heart medication or have a cardiac condition, use a clinically measured max heart rate instead.

Stay in Zone 2 for longer, lower-intensity aerobic sessions.
